Quick BBQ Tofu Sandwich
Ingredients
- 350 g Extra super firm tofu, cut into 4 slices
- 2 soft squishy buns
- Olive oil
- Vegan Butter
- ½ red onion, sliced
- 1 tomato, sliced
- Vegan mayo
- BBQ sauce
- 2-3 Tablespoons BBQ BEAST seasoning
- Salt
- Pepper
- Lettuce
Instructions
Prepare the Buns:
- Slice the buns.
- Add olive oil and a little bit of vegan butter to a pan.
- Grill the buns.
Prepare the Tofu:
- Slice the tofu block into four slices, removing the ends.
- Place olive oil in the pan.
- Add the tofu slices to the pan.
- Add the sliced onions to the pan, placing them on top of the tofu if you don't want them to burn too much.
- Add sliced tomatoes to the pan.
- Add salt and pepper.
Assemble the Sandwich:
- Spread vegan mayo on the bottom bun.
- Add barbecue sauce.
- Add the cooked onions and tofu to a bowl.
- Add 2-3 tablespoons of BBQ Beast seasoning to the tofu and onions, coating them well.
- Add the seasoned tofu and onions to the bun.
- Add hot tomatoes.
- Add lettuce.
- Add more barbecue sauce.
- Place the top bun on the sandwich.
