BBQ Beast Tofu Sandwich

Ingredients

  • Extra firm tofu (large block)
  • Half an onion
  • Buns
  • Tomato slices
  • Lettuce
  • Barbecue sauce
  • Jalapenos (optional)
  • BBQ Beast seasoning (DIY Nutritional yeast seasoning)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tofu and Onions:

    • Slice the extra firm tofu into four pieces.
    • Slice half an onion.
  2. Grill the Buns:

    • Grill the buns.
  3. Assemble the Sandwich:

    • Layer barbecue sauce on the bun.
    • Add lettuce.
    • Add tomato slices (diner style).
    • Add jalapenos (optional).
    • Season the onions and tofu with BBQ Beast seasoning (enough to coat).
    • Add the seasoned onions and tofu to the sandwich.
    • Top with the other half of the bun.

This simple and quick BBQ BEAST style tofu sandwich is delicious and filling, done in a jiffy. Cheaper than eating out and a plant based win.
